My Heart’s Desires
It's amazing how important it is to set intentions. Rather than thinking of what we don't want, truly asking our heart and soul deep inside what it is that we do want. And from there, we begin to create the life we truly desire. I wrote this on December 31st, 2015 and am amazed how many of my heart's desires have already come true, or are in the process of coming true to create the beautiful future and present I dream of. We are Divine Beings having a human experience, and when we choose, when we set intentions with all our heart and soul, we have the power to make them come true.
So here it is, that very sacred entry I wrote on the last day of 2015, and the beginning of this journey of self-transformation I've been on ever since, to make them all come true.
December 31st, 2015 ~ New Year’s Eve 2015
On this, the last day of 2015, I look back on this year and know I will always hold it close to my heart. It was the year of my rebirth. The birth of the Phoenix and all I am now in the transformation I have undergone as I continue to rise in this spiritual rebirth. What’s even more symbolic is this year – 2015 – was the year of the Goat in the Chinese Zodiac, the sign I was born under in 1991, and reborn again in 2015. As I move forward in this rebirth into 2016, I know it is a time for new beginnings. A time to accept, cherish and let go of my past life and to embrace this new beginning as I rise to full health in 2016 – mentally, spiritually and physically – as an evolved, transformed being and continue my journey in pursuing the path of my heart’s desires and making my dreams come true in 2016 and all the years to come as I fulfill my destiny. And in this, my choice to live – truly, fully, completely, with all my heart, soul, body & mind – as one.
So now, let me answer the question I posed earlier…tell me, what does your heart truly desire? What is the path you choose to take? Tell me…tell me of your heart’s deepest desires…and I will make them come true.
It is my desire to fulfill my life’s purpose of inspiring others to look within so they may discover their own truths in their journey to fulfill their “Personal Legends,” their destinies. I will share my story – Our Story – so that my own journey of discovering my own truth may inspire others to discover their own truths in their own personal journeys. I will create my blog, “For the Heart” to share from my heart, to theirs. I will continue on the spiritual path with the guidance of my guru so I may continue to discover my truth and in so doing, be able to inspire others and share with them so they may also do the same. I will create a space of this beautiful sharing and I will name it Shakti Yoga where I will guide others through the ancient practise of yoga so we may discover our truths together, and in so doing, unleash the power of ourselves – divine love – into the universe. I will share the words of my soul as we grow together. I will create a centre where we build a community with different practices, ideas, resources and learning, all with the goal of inspiring all who choose to participate to look within and discover their own personal truth. I will be a part of the movement inspiring the world to heal itself, and reach its full potential of universal love. Where we are One.
It is my heart’s desire to love and be loved – to physically, mentally and spiritually be one with my soul mate. I will spend my life with him – growing and evolving on our own personal life journeys, together. I will make a home with him – our home. I will have a family with him. I will have a daughter, a darling blessing to this world, who will bear the name Shakti. And there will be love, and only love. And we will love one another, as we love ourselves, for all the rest of our days.
It is my heart’s desire to have a loving, healthy relationship with all my family and friends – my mother, my father and my sister, and with all those I hold dear, and who hold me dear in return.
It is my heart’s desire to let go of all expectations, and simply do what comes from my heart and accept what comes from the hearts of others.
It is my heart’s desire to dance and sing with all the passion of my mind, body & soul; to paint with the colours of my heart; to write for the heart; to travel and experience all the beauty of this world held in its people, places and things; to read and learn and grow; to inspire and be inspired; to love and receive love with all my heart & soul.
It is my heart’s desire above all – to love myself.
To treat my body as my temple, as I worship my Self.
To focus my mind on positivity, and fulfilling my heart's desires.
To simply be my Self – each and every single day.
It is my heart’s desire…to live.
